School Day Times.
Our classroom is open from 8.45 am, registration is at 8.55 am, followed by 'Welcome to Our Day' and class worship.
Our first learning session of the day for all our children is Phonics and Read, Write, Inc. which starts at 9.15 am until 9.45 am.
From 9.50 am our children have learning sessions based on the EYFS curriculum including number, reading, writing, R.E. and computing.
There are also opportunities throughout the morning for children to access our outdoor learning area.
Lunchtime : From 12 noon to 1 pm.
Our afternoon session starts at 1.05 pm, when our children participate in creative learning sessions including art, baking, music and P.E.
Class is dismissed at 3.15 pm.
This Term our P.E. lesson will be on a Tuesday afternoon. Inside P.E. kit requires a plain white T. Shirt and black shorts. Outdoor P.E. kit requires a plain white T.Shirt, black jogging bottoms/ leggings and trainers or plimsoles.
We believe that children learn in many different ways and so we want to offer them as many opportunities to access as many interesting learning environments as possible. As well as our visits to Maltby Library, as part of our topic work, our F2 children will be visiting the Yorkshire Wildlife Park in June (more details to follow).
Children are expected to share their home/ school reading books five times each week. Parents and carers should record this in their
Home /School Diary.
Some children will also bring home a Read Write Inc reading book on a Friday. This should be returned the following week.
In addition, weekly homework may be set each Friday and can be based on spellings or on learning covered in our daily learning sessions.
Children are also invited to be creative at home, please see our Topic Plan for details of the learning we will be covering during the Summer 1 Term. At the end of each term there will be a Celebration Assembly where children can bring in their creations for us to see and share with their peers.
