Class Visits

We believe that children learn in many different ways and so we want to offer them as many opportunities to access as many interesting learning environments as possible. As well as our termly visits to Maltby Library, as part of our topic work, we will be arranging a number of educational visits.  During Autumn Term 1, some of our children will be visiting Tuxford Mill to see how a working mill processes grain into flour.

Homework

Children will receive a reading book on a Friday, they are expected to share their home/ school reading books five times each week.  Parents and carers should record this in their Home /School Diary.

Some children will also bring home a Read Write Inc reading book on a Friday.  This should be returned the following Friday.

In addition, weekly homework may be set each Friday and can be based on spellings or on learning covered in our daily learning sessions.

Children are also invited to be creative at home, please see our Topic Web for details of the learning we will be covering during the Autumn 1 Term.  At the end of each term there will be a Celebration Assembly where children can bring in their creations for us to see and share with their peers.
